Joining SFMYA is as simple as attending one of our young adult board meetings. For more information on the regional board, visit the Y.A. Board page. View some of our agendas to get an idea of the things we talk about.

If you've always considered joining a young adult ministry, here is the place to start.

Many members of our board have gone on to do other things, such as becoming Theology on Tap coordinator. Members of the board work closely with Bishop Gerald Wilkerson, the San Fernando Pastoral Region's regional bishop, and advise him on what is going on with young adults in the San Fernando Region.

It doesn't matter if you've never had experience working with young adults. Working with other young adults, you will quickly learn what it takes to put on an event, and you will be immeresed in the many talents that our young adults bring to the ministry.

Have a talent for music? Why not provide the music for our next Theology on Tap?

Are you or were you a lector or eucharistic minister at your parish? Why not volunteer to be a prayer leader or minister at one of our liturgies?

Have a knack for art? Why not help us design future issues of our ministry newsletter or pitch ideas for our Web site?

Can you balance your checkbook blindfolded? Help us prepare the budget for our next Theology on Tap or major young adult event.
